What parents ask us most.
Do I need internet or a SIM card?
No. BuddyTalk works completely offline through a direct radio connection between the two devices. No Wi-Fi, no SIM, no mobile contract, no app.
How far do they reach?
Up to around 500 metres (1,600 ft) in open spaces. Indoors — through walls and floors — usually 100 to 200 metres. An honest number, not a marketing one.
Is the connection really safe?
Yes. Because there's no internet involved, there's no way in from the outside. No apps, no strangers, no ads. Only the two devices talk to each other.
Can my child actually use it?
Yes. Switch on, push the button, talk. No setup, no login, no menus. Children from around four years old can use it on their own.
Is it just a toy?
Not really. BuddyTalk is meant as a calm, honest alternative to smartphones, smartwatches and tablets. Kids play with it and at the same time learn how to stay in touch without being online.
